Programs That Change Lives:• After School Tutoring and Mentoring Our dedicated volunteers devote their time and energy to tutoring and mentoring children to give them a fighting chance to graduate school and go on to become successful career men and women. • Responsible Fatherhood - Motherhood and Parenting Classes The CFDC provides classes for fathers and mothers in all areas of family life including: Financial Planning, Anger Management, Raising children, Parenting Roles in the Home, Work Ethic Training, Knowing Roles in the Family, and much more. • Adopt-A-Block Our volunteers identify the needs of families in certain areas and strategically fill them by adopting a particular block. • Men Mentoring Men (Men of Hope) In order to elevate a new generation of men and transform an existing one, our mentoring program builds friendships and impacts lives through lifestyle mentoring and enrichment programs. • Adopt-A-Family When the CFDC adopts a family, we provide temporary emergency assistance, referrals and mentoring for individuals and families who are experiencing challenges in life. • Overcomers Group Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. we gather to encourage and empower others that are overwhelmed by life's problems and help them triumph over circumstances and walk in victory. • Community Outreach Every month the dream center has outreach activities with contemporary christian music and activities to attract kids and adults within the community. In addition to these activities is plenty of food and positive messages. • Men, Women and Youth in Action USA (MWYA) By mentoring men, MWYA is teaching them to be responsible men, fathers, and husbands. In doing this, families are restored and the cycle of broken homes is terminated. • CCC Program (Clean Homes, Clean Hearts, Clean Communities) This relationship and mentoring program occurs over the period of one year and it targets single mothers and grandmothers by addressing life issues, financial and health management, home ownership and other character building values. • Life Style Mentoring Seminars People learn the skills they need to make a positive change to their lifestyle that will help them map out a successful future. • Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention In all of our programs and services lies the core teaching of family values and enrichment. We also teach our three pronged approach to child abuse which is Prevention, Intervention and Enforcement. • Job Readiness and Placement Through our one-on-one mentoring programs, we teach job preparedness skills like resume writing, interviewing skills and relational skills that empower individuals to fi nd gainful employment and help them retain their jobs as they explore a new world of opportunities. • Higher Focus Young adults share technology and the arts with underprivileged children to close the gap in communities where the youth would normally be deprived of it. |
