HONDURASOur Honduras project was born from a visit to the impoverished nation - the second poorest in the Americas. 75% of the pople in the rural areas live below the poverty line. 57% of the population is under 19 years of age. Most cannot read. They will tell you they believe in the God of their ancestors, but they really have no idea about the love of Jesus. Schools do not allow children who cannot bring paper and pencils into school. Babies are born without any material possessions and thus in the poorest areas are thought to have no value. We are helping people to provide for their families, by providing a marketing outlet here in the U.S. to support skill and trade. (VISIT WEBSITE) Jamaica West Indies Project Bishop Paul Black (Community Leader) Douglas Castle Community Project School Building Project: There is a huge need to build 3 schools in the community that will house 300 students each. The cost per school is $50,000 Farming Self-sufficiency Project: Funding is needed for the farmers to grow, harvest, package and market a special ginger product. There is demand for the product, workers are willing to work the only need is seed funds. $10,000 micro loan will help launch the first project. Medical Walk-in Clinic: Most women give birth to their children in the car while on the way to the hospital. With the closest hospital being over 40 miles away, it takes over one hour to get there due to bad road conditions. The goal is to build a clinic in the community. The projected cost is $100,000. Youth Work/Entrepreneurship Program There is a need to develop income opportunities for the youth, without productive work, youth are more prone to get into gangs and crime. Micro loans are needed to help fund some small business projects for the youth. Please consider investing in the next generation of leaders. Micro loans start as low as $1,500.
