The Central Florida Dream Center Welcomes Pastors Marc and Laura Belen

Pastors Marc and Laura Belen were born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, where they were members of Mount Hope Church and International Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor David Williams. They've attended Mount Hope Church for over 20 years, and have been extremely active in church ministry, serving as part of the Cleansing Stream Discipleship Team, biblical  guidance, altar ministry, The Alpha Course, and the intercessory prayer team. For the past four years, they have served as neighborhood pastors in the South Lansing area with a ministry focused on loving God and loving people. They focus on Jesus’ words, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind," and, "love your neighbor as yourself," (Luke 10:27). Marc and Laura are both graduates of Mount Hope Bible Training Institute.

Pastor Marc recently stepped down from his role as a neighborhood pastor in preparation for the move to Florida to become a part of the Central Florida Dream Center (CFDC). Many years ago, God gave Marc a vision for a dream center where healing, deliverance and restoration would take place and lives would be transformed. In June, Marc visited the CFDC where he met with the leader, Paul Benjamin Sr. During this meeting, Marc and Paul shared what God had put on their hearts to reach people. They found their visions were quite similar, and a partnership began to form. Marc and Laura have a passion to be a part of people's lives and to lead them through healing, deliverance and restoration.

God began and has continued to open doors to prepare the way for Marc and Laura to move to Florida and become a part of the team at CFDC. They are excited about supporting Paul with the day-to-day operations so he can be freed up to focus on obtaining community support. We look forward with great expectations for what God will be doing in the Central Florida area as lives are transformed through the Word of God. As Paul encouraged the Roman Christians in the twelfth chapter, "do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2).

Bank of New York Mellon Mentors Inner-City Youth

At the Dream Center

Over ten employees from the Bank of New York Mellon provided a fun interactive mentoring day for kids here at the Dream Center. The mentoring team brought lunch, ten bicycles and encouraged the children to further their education and abstain from promiscuous behavior. Five girls and five boys were given bicycles, and everyone present received a good meal, important advice and encouragement.
